THE ONPOINT GROWTH PLAN

Turn a plan nobody reads into one page your whole team will use

A fixed-fee, four-week engagement that turns your leadership team’s decisions into an annual strategy on one page, a scoreboard that says whether it is working, and 90 days of traction with an owner on every line.

THE PROBLEM

ClearPoint Strategy analyzed 20,582 strategic plans and found that 83% of organizations complete less than 25% of their strategic projects. The same data shows why. Plans with fewer than 20 elements succeed 68% of the time. Plans with 60 or more succeed 8% of the time. And 74% of strategic goals have nobody’s name on them. Robert Kaplan’s earlier finding still holds: roughly 90% of organizations fail to execute their strategy successfully.

WHAT IT IS

A four-week facilitated planning engagement that puts your entire strategy on a single page using the ONPOINT Growth Plan, a seven-section framework built for technology and professional services companies. Led personally by Jason Mundy, a certified executive business coach and CMO with 30 years in B2B technology who has owned the growth number, not just the framework. Seven sections:

  • O – Outlook: The long view: your 3-year picture and the market shifts coming at you.
  • N – North Star: Why you exist and the one big destination.
  • P – Positioning: Your growth thesis: who you serve, why you win, and where next year’s revenue comes from.
  • O – Objectives: What the year must deliver, and what you will stop doing.
  • I – Intelligence: Where AI belongs in your plan (product, productivity, go-to-market), and where it does not.
  • N – Numbers: The scoreboard: one critical number and a handful of owned KPIs.
  • T – Traction: The next 90 days: priorities, owners, finish lines.

Positioning and Intelligence are the two sections most annual plans skip, and they are where this framework goes deepest, because they are where growth is won or lost in the AI era.

What you get

  • The completed ONPOINT Growth Plan: your strategy on one page, plus the full working file your team keeps using
  • A KPI scoreboard: a working spreadsheet with owners, baselines, and targets, reviewed on a set cadence
  • Next quarter’s rocks with owners and finish lines, plus a meeting rhythm your team will actually keep
  • A 90-day Traction Review: score the rocks, face what stalled, reset the next quarter

HOW IT WORKS

  • Discover (Week 1): leadership intake, 1:1 interviews with up to four leaders, and a review of your numbers, pipeline, and current plan, so the working session starts at full speed
  • Decide (Weeks 2 and 3): a facilitated session with your leadership team, one full day or two half-days, in person or virtual, working all seven sections and making the decisions most planning processes avoid: the growth thesis, the stop-doing list, the AI guardrail, the critical number
  • Draft (Weeks 2 and 3): your completed plan back within 36 hours of the session, plus one revision pass
  • Drive (Week 4): scoreboard setup and rollout guidance, so every person on the team can recite the plan and knows what they own
  • Traction Review (Day 90): a working session to score the quarter, face what stalled, and set the next 90 days

Cost

$12,500, fixed fee. No hourly rate, no scope surprises. One engagement, one completed plan, one accountable quarter. The Growth Plan flows naturally into quarterly facilitation or coaching support if you want help executing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this for?

Founders, owners, and CEOs of small and mid-size technology, software, SaaS, and professional services companies, typically with a leadership team of three to ten, who want an annual plan their team can execute rather than a document they file. If your last plan died in a drawer, this is for you.

How is this different from other planning systems?

There are many strong operating systems, usually run by generalist implementers. The ONPOINT Growth Plan is built specifically for technology and professional services companies, it goes deepest on the growth thesis and the AI question, the two sections most frameworks skip, and is facilitated by an experienced operator.

How much of our team's time does it take?

Roughly one day of leadership time for the working session, an hour per interviewed leader in week one, and the 90-day review. The preparation, synthesis, and build between sessions are handled for you.

We already have a plan. Why do we need this?

Often that makes it more useful, not less. Pressure-testing an existing plan against the seven sections usually surfaces the missing growth thesis or the unowned numbers inside the first hour. The output is the same either way: one page, seven decisions, owners on every line.

What do we actually get?

Your strategy on one page plus the full working file, a KPI scoreboard with owners and targets, next quarter’s rocks with finish lines, a meeting rhythm to keep it alive, and a 90-day Traction Review to score the quarter.

What happens after the engagement?

Whatever serves you. Some clients run the quarterly reset themselves with the working file. Others retain ONPOINT Business Advisors for quarterly facilitation or coaching support to execute the plan. There is no obligation either way.
