THE PROBLEM

ClearPoint Strategy analyzed 20,582 strategic plans and found that 83% of organizations complete less than 25% of their strategic projects. The same data shows why. Plans with fewer than 20 elements succeed 68% of the time. Plans with 60 or more succeed 8% of the time. And 74% of strategic goals have nobody’s name on them.

Common symptoms among founders, owners, and CEOs heading into planning season:

  • Last year’s plan is a 40-page deck nobody has opened since January, or it never left your head in the first place.
  • Your team can list this quarter’s projects but cannot say which one moves the number that matters.
  • Two questions keep coming back without a clean answer: where does growth actually come from next year, and what is our AI plan.

The core issue: your strategy is probably sound. It is too long to remember, too vague to own, and too disconnected from a weekly number to correct. You do not need a longer plan. You need one page, seven decisions, and a scoreboard your team actually looks at.

Right now is the best time to start planning for next year.

WHAT IT IS

A free 60-minute working session where you learn the ONPOINT Growth Plan, a seven-section one-page framework built for technology and professional services companies, and start applying it to your own business as we go. Not a webinar you watch. A working session where you write. Led personally by Jason Mundy, a CMO with 30 years in B2B technology who has owned the growth number, not just the framework.

Seven sections:

  • O – Outlook: The long view: your 3-year picture and the market shifts coming at you.
  • N – North Star: Why you exist and the one big destination.
  • P – Positioning: Your growth thesis: who you serve, why you win, and where next year’s revenue comes from.
  • O – Objectives: What the year must deliver, and what you will stop doing.
  • I – Intelligence: Where AI belongs in your plan (product, productivity, go-to-market), and where it does not.
  • N – Numbers: The scoreboard: one critical number and a handful of owned KPIs.
  • T – Traction: The next 90 days: priorities, owners, finish lines.

We walk all seven so you can see how the plan fits together. You will have working time on the first few, because those are the ones everything else depends on, and because rushing the rest would teach you the framework poorly.

What you get

  • The ONPOINT Growth Plan worksheet, a light-weight one-page format mirroring the one used in paid engagements, yours to keep
  • The method: what belongs in each of the seven sections, what a good answer looks like, and the traps in each one
  • A start on your own plan, in your own words, on Outlook, North Star, and the first Positioning questions
  • The two questions most annual plans dodge, framed clearly enough that you can work them on your own time
  • An honest picture of what finishing the plan takes, so you can decide whether to do it yourself or get help
  • The recording, sent to everyone who registers, whether or not you make it live
  • An open invitation to book a free 30-minute 2027 Plan Review, one on one, once you have had time to work on your draft

What this is not

  • Not a finished 2027 plan. Sixty minutes in a group session gets you started and shows you the method.
  • Not a consultation. I cannot work your specific business in a group room. That is what the free Plan Review is for, and you can book it on your own schedule once your draft is far enough along to be worth reviewing.
  • Not a pitch. You will hear about the paid engagement once, near the end, in about thirty seconds.

You can learn more about the full ONPOINT Growth Plan Engagement here.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Frame. Why annual plans fail, what the one-page discipline actually fixes, and a walk through all seven sections so you know where you are going
  • Outlook and North Star. The long view and the market shifts you are planning into, with working time to start your own
  • Positioning. The growth thesis. Who you serve, why you win, and where next year’s revenue comes from. The section most plans get wrong, so it gets the most time and the most working room
  • Objectives. What 2027 has to deliver, and the stop-doing list that makes it possible
  • Finish the plan. How Intelligence, Numbers, and Traction come together, what to complete this week, and where most people get stuck

Cost

Free. No pitch deck, no hard sell, no credit card. I teach the method because it is the most honest introduction to how I work. If you want help finishing the plan afterward, that conversation is available and entirely optional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this for?

Founders, owners, and CEOs of small and mid-size technology, software, SaaS, and professional services companies, typically with a leadership team of three to ten, who want an annual plan their team can execute rather than a document they file. If your last plan died in a drawer, this is for you.

Will I leave with a finished plan?

No, and I would rather tell you that now than have you feel sold. In 60 minutes you will learn the framework, make a real start on the first sections of your own plan, and leave knowing what finishing takes. Most people need a few focused hours after the session, or a facilitated day with their leadership team, to get to a plan they would actually put in front of the company. The workshop is how you find out which of those you need.

Is this really free, and what is the catch?

It is free and there is no catch. I am not going to spend your hour selling. You will hear once, near the end, that a free 30-minute 2027 Plan Review is available if you want your draft pressure-tested. That is the whole pitch.

Will it be recorded?

Yes. Everyone who registers gets the recording, whether or not you make it live. If the time does not work, register anyway.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No. Bring what is in your head and something to write with. You will get the one-page worksheet when you register so you can print it beforehand if you prefer paper.

How is this different from other planning systems?

There are many strong operating systems, usually run by generalist implementers. The ONPOINT Growth Plan is built specifically for technology and professional services companies, it goes deepest on the growth thesis and the AI question, the two sections most frameworks skip, and is facilitated by an experienced operator.

I am not a technology company. Is this still for me?

If you run a professional services firm, an agency, an IT services business, or a consultancy, yes. The framework was built with you in mind. If your business looks nothing like that, the one-page discipline still applies but the Positioning and Intelligence sections may fit less cleanly.

What happens after the workshop?

You keep the worksheet and can finish the plan yourself, which is a completely legitimate outcome. If you want a second set of eyes, book a free 30-minute 2027 Plan Review and we will pressure-test what you drafted, one on one, at a time that suits you. If you want the full plan built with your leadership team, The ONPOINT Growth Plan engagement is the next step. You can learn more here.
